Hayden's Heart: Hayden's Heart Monthly Beat

Looking back at March -

March is all about celebrating Hayden’s birth. This year, he would have turned 4 on March 12th! Our ‘Hayden’s Favorite Things’ care packages went to four different Pediatric Cardiac floors- Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Children’s Hospital of New York, and Geisinger Medical Center. These care packages have our Hayden’s Heart swaddle, items donated from Manhattan Toy Company, My Little Legs, Wubbanubs and owl lovies from Angel Dear. We are so thankful to our volunteers for delivering these packages and hope they brightened up some faces on the cardiac wings in honor and memory of Hayden.

5K SUCCESS!!!

We are so excited to announce that our 4th Annual 5K was an enormous success and profited $25,000!!!

THANK YOU doesn't quite cover how amazed we are- so many of you generously donated your time, sponsored monetarily, and donated food and services to make this event our most successful yet!! (see the bottom of this blog for a list of our 5K sponsors and donors!)

Our 5K raises the most money of all of our events to date and we are so honored to send a portion of the proceeds to the Mursch family, as well as help fund all the other ways we support heart families throughout the year through our birthday, angelversary and holiday care packages, monthly monetary donations for families in need of immediate relief, our grieving hearts care packages, our angel mama retreat, and much more!

We look forward to celebrating Hayden's 5th birthday with you all next year- SAVE the DATE for Saturday, March 18th 2017!!

APRIL events!

Our Pinstripes and Diamonds event is coming up soon- April 9th held at the Williamsport Country Club! Please see our website or email ady.dorsett@haydensheart.org for more details and how to purchase your tickets! The last day to purchase tickets for this event is WEDNESDAY, April 6th. Our committee has been working very hard to secure amazing items for the silent and live auctions, as well as our ‘Diamond Boxes’- a fun inexpensive game of chance during the first portion of the night where one lucky winner will walk away with a diamond ring valued at $1,000 donated by Kinley Jewelers!! Your ticket price includes food, beer, entertainment and donated party favors from 7pm-12am. With over 70 prizes, this is one event you don’t want to miss!!

A portion of the proceeds raised at this event will be donated to Timothy Wade and family. Timmy is a local toddler with HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome). More on Timmy and his journey posted on our blog. We are honored to support this family and hope you can join us in what will most certainly be an incredible evening!

Mother’s Day Mommy and Me - Paint for Hayden

Hayden’s Heart is hosting its first painting event! This event is on Saturday, May 7th from 3-5pm at The Craft Clique in Rutherford NJ. Cost for this event is $50 and includes painting supplies for two as well as appetizers and drinks. Proceeds from this fundraiser directly benefit our 2nd Annual "Healing of the Heart' retreat for mamas of heart angels. (More information on this amazing event can be found on our website under the events page.)

Please join us with you daughter, son, niece, nephew, mother, grandmother- whomever you wish to celebrate this Mother's Day with! You and your partner will each receive a canvas and painting supplies to create a wonderful keepsake and masterpiece! We will have raffles, food, and drinks and look forward to having lots of fun, making memories and raising funds for this awesome event!
